The Great Gatsby

M: The students will read pages 61 – 69, noting the diversity of Gatsby’s party guests and the continued speculation about Gatsby’s identity.

T: The students will complete the Acts 1 & 2 quiz. Read pages 70 – 80. Notes and discussion of Gatsby’s autobiography and  the account of Daisy’s early relationship with Gatsby.

W: The students will complete the Act IV study guide.

Th: The students will read pages 81 – 90 and discuss the realization of Gatsby’s dream, identifying it as a turning point.

F: The students will write their own version of the love letter Daisy received from Gatsby on the eve of her wedding to Tom.
