M: The students will read pages 1174 – 1181 and complete the Act II study guide. Discuss the irony of John repeating the Ten Commandments and Elizabeth and John’s responses to the existence of witches. Announce Character Test for Thursday.

T: Assign Act III Vocabulary Builder. The students will read pages 1187 – 1195 and discuss Giles’ motivation for interrupting the court, the characterization of Danforth through stage directions, and the continuing conflict between Putnam and Parris.

W: The students will read pages 1196 – 1205, discussing the irony and motivation behind Ruth Putnam’s witchcraft accusation against George Jacobs, and Danforth’s argument as a faulty premise.

Th: Act III Vocabulary Builder due. The students will complete the Character Test.

F: The students will complete SAT prep Lesson 10.
